In the month of Dec. and Jan. the web site will be changed over to the 2012 year.Untill then the following will take place.Meeting Dates will be Jan. 8th--Feb.5th--March 4th--April 1st.  All metings are on Sunday at 2:00, and are at the grain bin at Jeff Grossenbacher's . There will not be a meal at the meeting, Club members may choose to go out after the meeting to a local restaurant. Remember your 2012 dues are due.

Show meeting & Dec. Meeting

There will be a meeting on Nov. 13 th.at 2:00 for the show commitee to go over show plans. this will be held in the grain bin. At the Dec. meeting,there will be a motion to reside a motion made on a show date made at the Oct. meeting. All those that voted for that are being notified that afer the motion was made that several club workers may not be in town at that time , and that another date may work out better for the show.For this reason it would be better left to the show commitee to set the dates. New officers were voted in as follow:  Pres-- Lanson Stern    Vice Pres:--Rich Jagers  Sec.--Shelly Jagers  Treas.-- Jeff Grossenbacher  Directors 1yr. --Pat Richardson  3yr. Benard Owens   Good Luck to all the new officers to keep the Ohio Welsh Pony Association in good standings.

Nov. meeting and Banquet

Just a reminder to all that come to the monthly meetings . The date is Sun. Nov. 6th. at 2:00  The winter meetings will be held on Sun. at 2:00 to make it more lighter to see our way home.The banquet turn out to be a nice evening . The High Point Pony went to Lanson and Joyce Stern,        High Point exhibitor went to Lanson Stern  and       High Point Youth went to Hannah Forman  Congratution to All

Ohio Welsh Show

Sun. Oct. 16th there will be a meeting about the Ohio show at 3:00 p.m. If you are interested in the show or can be there to work at the show , this would be a good time to be there. The meeting will be at the Grossenbachers in the meeting room.

October Meeting

The Oct. meeting will be held on the 1st. At this meeting the main topic will be what direction the club would like to go with the Ohio shows in Aug. We would like for as many members  to be present as possible, so that we get many views. If you are an exhibitor at our Aug shows and have some topics you would like the club to look at , call Jeff at 330-947-2920 and he will present them to the club.As we all know that things in the show world are not the best due to the economy, keep in mind that it  is still the best interest of the club to put on a show that the exhibitors need.

2011 Ohio Welsh Banquet

Well it is once again time for the 2011 banquet. The banquet is at the same place as last year, Ala Cart Catering in canfield, Ohio. The cost of the meal is 15:00 per person. The doors will open at 6:00 and the meal will be served at 7:00 To make resverations call Prudy at 330-947-2920 and let her know what you are doing. All res. must be paid by the 15th of Oct.Their will also be an auction.

Ohio Welsh Shows

The OWPA would like to thank all exhibitors that took time out of their lives to attend the Ohio shows. Even with the numbers of ponies down this year,the show went on with 4 days of great weather. Just because the numbers were down, there was ponies with great quality in each class.We would also like to thank all the judges,annoncer, ring person and are show secretary for the fine job they did to make our show once more a success.If you had photos that you did not get a chance to look at contact Ken Seims At http://www.psdphoto.net/ and he will fix you up. We also hope people get ahold of Jen and try to get to the HEARTLAND SHOW.

Aug. Ohio Welsh Shows

To all exhibitors:  As you can see the show bills for the Aug show are not posted yet.Don't worry the 2 show are about the same as last year, and should be up on the web any day now. We are just waiting on the final approval of the national, then things will take place . As I said stay tuned and ck dailey, These 2 shows will be just as great to come to as in previous years.  See you there.

All Breeds Carriage Driving Event

NEW MEETING DATES

At the May meeting it was decided to have the Winter meetings on Sunday at 2:00 P.M.  The Nov. meeting will be on the 6th. the Dec. meeting on the 4th. We are hoping this will allow more people to come to the meetings in the afternoon, and still be able to get back home at an early hour. There is going to be a show by the Pioneer Saddle Club on June 11 at Carroll Co. Fairgrounds. There are 4 Welsh classes, for more details contact Joyce Champain/ Show Manager 330-223-2311.As of last weekend Shelly Hayden and Rich Jagers, 2 of our club members got hitched. I mean is the words of marriage. Best of LUCK to the 2 of them and also Miranda and Olivia.

MARCH NEWS

The Carriage show is done. It has been posted on our site , so that sponsor, entry form and show books can be down loaded . We could still use a few extra people to help, if interested call Paul Hurd at 330-876-3376  .Most of these jobs , you would only be needed for short periods of time. Also we still have 2 more  obstacles to be made.We already have the idea for them, just need some help to get these painted. The Equine Affair is still a go,and here again if you can help work the booth or take a pony, Feel free to contact Tracy Laufer. Would like to take this time to say Hi to all the members that have not been able to get out to the meetings this winter. The weather is going to break soon , Try to make the next meeting April 2nd or stop down on a tues at Jeffs for an evening of  driving.

Feb News

If you have any 4 by 6 photos of Carriage Driving that you don't want or the club can make a copy of them , please bring them to the next meeting, We are making a driving book that can be used at exhibites.The Carriage Driving Event is coming along great . As always we are  looking for sponsors, and people to hand out flyers, The dates are June 25-26, We will have show bill up on site in near future. The Ohio Welsh shows that are Aug 11,12,13,14,are also coming along at this time.We are also looking for the ohio shows to have a great turn out, due to the fact that the club has done everything possible for the exhibitors to spend no more money on stalls or gas to get to the shows, But still will recieve as many points as possible for 2 shows.

 There are several updates on the web, So ck.  each page out . For those that are not familiar with the photo page. Go to the photo you desire then click on it to enlarge, then move right or left to go foward or back. May meeting date has been changed to the 14th .  Also there are 2 new links on the link page , I think every one will enjoy them and may also find something to buy.These 2 links are done by a very special person that has kept are club web site up and running  (Kelli Swan). I know as we look outside, things don't always look the best, but this is the time of year to ck your ponies close as the ground is rough and slippery.It is also time to get those harness out ck over ,repaired and cleaned.If you have some new ideas or need help getting something started, Riding or driving , Don't be afraid to ask another member for some help.
